Katheryn of Berain - Brass & Silver Skull Necklace
Kate Dumbleton and Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales have collaborated to produce a jewellery collection inspired by the ‘Mother of Wales’, Katheryn of Berain, who was a distant relative of Elizabeth I. Her portrait, on view at National Museum Cardiff, was painted by Adriaen van Cronenbergh (1568).
Brass Skull Necklace – This hand carved, highly detailed skull pendant is made of solid brass and has been polished to show all the fine details.
The lace pattern matches Katheryn’s dress sleeves. Skull pendant is linked to textured silver rings and an antique brass plated chain, total length is 70cm.
